Keywords: Interior Design, Planar Composition, Laws. 1. Introduction Plane composition plays an indispensable role in interior design. Points, lines and surfaces” are not only the basic elements of planar composition, but also the most important elements in architectural design. The interface of modern interior space is constructed through repeated contrasts, combinations and in accordance with a certain proportion, and these elements constitute the core of the interface design of modern interior space. Therefore, analyzing the interface design of modern interior space through the perspective of planar composition, we can realize the diversified and personalized design of interior space style through different methods of planar composition. 2. The Basic Elements of Graphic Composition 2.1. The role and use of points In graphic design, points can be the focal point of sight, attracting people's attention and playing the role of guidance and focus. In interior design, points can be used to highlight the importance of a decorative item or space, thus creating a visual focus and highlight. At the same time, points can be used to determine the position and direction in the space, helping to define the scope and layout of the space. Dots can also be used as decorative elements, such as decorative paintings on walls and small decorative objects on furniture, which can add interest and beauty to a space. In interior design, points can be used in the form of lamps, ornaments, decorative paintings on the wall, etc. Through the setting and layout of points, different emotions and atmospheres can be created in the space, and they can also be used to emphasize the level and focus of the space. 2.1.1. Dots in Interior Design In modern interior design, points can appear in many forms, such as lamps, decorations, color points and so on. Pendant lamps, table lamps, wall lamps, etc. can be used as the expression of points, they not only have the function of lighting, but also can be used as embellishments and focal points in the space. Vases, sculptures, ornaments, etc., they often appear in the space as the form of points, play a role in decoration and embellishment. Decorative paintings or artwork on the wall can also be used as a form of point, attracting the eye through the color and shape of the paintings and becoming the highlight of the space. Meanwhile, it should not be ignored that some specially designed furniture, such as uniquely shaped chairs and sofas, can also become points in the space to attract people's attention. Through the expression of these points, the space can be enriched with a sense of hierarchy and interest, attracting people's attention and adding personality and charm to the space. 2.1.2. The influence of points on the atmosphere and style of a space Through the setting of points, you can create visual focal points and accents in a space to attract people's attention, thus shaping a specific atmosphere and style. For example, an eye- catching decorative painting, a unique lamp or a special decorative object can be the focal point in a space, adding personality and character to the space. Different forms of dots can convey different emotions and themes, for example, through color dots, decorative paintings, etc. can create a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere, while through lamps, furniture, etc. can create an elegant and luxurious atmosphere, thus giving a specific style and theme to the space. The setting of points can form a sense of hierarchy in the space, and through changes in size, shape, color, etc., it can make the space richer and more varied, enhance the three-dimensional sense of space and visual effect, thus affecting the overall atmosphere and style of the space. 2.2. The Role and Use of Lines Line has an important role in interior design, it can be used 144 in different ways to influence the atmosphere and style of the space. Lines can be used to create the structure and outline of the space through the decorative lines of the wall, the lines of the furniture, etc., so that the space has a sense of order and hierarchy. The direction and shape of the lines can guide people's eyes and create a sense of dynamics and flow in the space, making the space more vivid and interesting. For example, the design of lines on the floor and ceiling can guide people's eyes and create a dynamic sense of beauty in the space. Different forms of lines can convey different emotions and themes. For example, curved lines can create a soft and cozy atmosphere, while straight lines can show a simple and sharp style. The decoration of lines is also a common technique in interior design, such as murals on the wall and inlaid lines on the floor, which can enrich the visual effect of the space through the decoration of lines. 2.2.1. The expression of line in interior design Lines can be expressed in many forms, from walls to furniture, from floors to ceilings, all of which can be designed to enrich the expression of space. Lines on the wall can be shown in the form of murals, wallpapers, hanging decorations and so on. The line design of decorative lines and murals can create a sense of structure and decorative effect of the space and increase the sense of hierarchy and beauty of the space. The line design of furniture is also an important element in interior design. The lines of furniture can be shown in different forms such as curves and straight lines, thus affecting the atmosphere and style of the space. Curved lines of furniture can create a soft and cozy atmosphere, while straight lines of furniture can show a simple and sharp style. Line design on the floor and ceiling can also enrich the expression of space. Floor parquet, inlaid lines, ceiling hanging lines and other designs can be in the form of lines to change the sense of scale and proportion of the space, increase the visual effect of the space. The line design of windows and doors can influence the sense of structure and outline of space through the design of window frames and door frames, and also guide people's sight and change the dynamic sense of space through the form of lines. 2.2.2. The influence of lines on the visualization of space and the sense of dynamics Line in interior design can affect the visual effect and dynamic sense of space through its shape, length, thickness, density and other factors. The design of lines can create a sense of space hierarchy through its length, thickness, density and other factors. For example, designing lines of different lengths and widths on the wall can make the space more hierarchical. The design of lines can guide people's sight through its shape and direction, thus changing the dynamic sense of space. For example, designing curved lines on the ceiling can make people's line of sight more fluent and increase the dynamic sense of space. Line in interior design has a very important impact on the visual effect and dynamic sense of space. Through the design and use of lines, it can create a colorful spatial atmosphere and style, and increase the sense of hierarchy, scale, dynamics and decorative space. 2.3. The role and use of surfaces In interior design, surface is a very important element that can influence the ambience, style and function of a space through different materials, colors, textures and shapes. Surfaces can be used to divide a space, for example walls can separate a large space into different functional areas, thus providing privacy and functionality. The materials, colors and textures of surfaces can create different atmospheres and styles. For example, the use of wood can create a warm, natural atmosphere, while metal can bring a modern, cool feel. Surfaces can be made of different materials and treatments to enhance the functionality of a space. For example, the use of waterproof, easy-to-clean surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms can increase the practicality of a space. 2.3.1. Representation of surfaces in interior design In interior design, faces are very rich and diverse and can be presented through different materials, colors, textures and shapes. Walls are the most common faces in interior design, which can be expressed through materials such as paint, wallpaper, tiles, stone and wood finishes. Different materials and colors can create different atmosphere and style. The floor is a very important surface in interior space, which can be expressed through flooring materials (such as wood flooring, ceramic tiles, carpets, etc.) and paving methods. The material and color of the floor can influence the atmosphere and style of the whole space. : Ceiling is also an important surface in interior design, which can be expressed through suspended ceilings, chandeliers, colors and textures. Different ceiling designs can change the sense of height and visual effect of the space. Interior decorative surfaces include cabinets, fireplaces, stair railings, doors and windows, etc. Their materials, colors and shapes can influence the atmosphere and style of the space. 2.3.2. Influence on the overall feeling and atmosphere of the space Facing the overall sense of space and atmosphere has an important impact, different surface materials, colors, textures and shapes can have an impact on the atmosphere and overall sense of space, can be divided into the following aspects: Sense of space and proportion: the color and texture of walls, floors and ceilings can affect the visual perception of space, light colors and smooth surfaces will make the space appear more spacious, while dark colors and rough surfaces will make the space appear more compact. In addition, different paving styles and decorative elements can also affect the sense of height and proportion of a space. Atmosphere and style: The material, color and texture of the surface can create different atmospheres and styles, for example, wood will create a warm and natural atmosphere, while metal will bring a modern and cold feeling. Decorative items such as decorative paintings and wallpapers on the walls will also have an impact on the atmosphere and style of the space. Light and reflection: the material and surface treatment of the surface will affect the reflection and absorption of light. Smooth surfaces will reflect more light and make the space brighter, while rough surfaces will absorb more light and make the space appear softer. Decoration and performance: the surface can be used as a decorative element, wall murals, wallpaper, decorative paintings, etc. can increase the artistic sense and personalization of the space, thus affecting the overall sense and atmosphere. 3. Analysis of the Laws of Planar Composition The law of planar composition refers to the design and layout of planes such as walls, floors and ceilings in interior design to create a specific spatial atmosphere and style. Commonly used are symmetrical composition, axis 145 composition, contrast composition, repetition composition and so on. Symmetrical composition refers to the plane in the space in accordance with the axis of symmetrical arrangement, left and right or up and down as a mirror image symmetry. This composition is often used in formal, solemn space, can create a stable, balanced atmosphere. Axis composition refers to set one or more axes in the space, so that the various planes in the space around the axis of the layout and design. Axis composition can give a sense of direction and order to the space, so that the space has a sense of guidance and hierarchy. Contrast composition refers to creating the vitality and tension of the space by contrasting the materials, colors and shapes of different planes. Contrast composition can make the space appear more colorful and increase the visual appeal of the space. Repeated composition refers to the repeated use of similar or identical plane elements, such as patterns, textures, colors, etc. in the space. Repetition composition can increase the sense of unity and coherence of the space, making the space look more neat and orderly. 4. Rhythm and Repetition Rhythm and repetition are very important design principles in interior design, which can be used to increase the sense of unity and coherence of a space, as well as to create a specific atmosphere and style, by arranging different elements in a repetitive and rhythmic manner. Repetition refers to the repeated use of the same or similar elements in the space, such as color, texture, shape, etc. Through repetition, a sense of unity and coherence can be added to a space, making it look neater and more organized. For example, using the same decorative patterns on the walls, the same floor tiles on the floor, and the same shapes on the ceiling can increase the consistency of the space through repetition. Rhythm refers to creating a regular, repetitive arrangement of elements in a space, making the space dynamic and vibrant. By arranging in rhythm, the space can be made to appear more dynamic and interesting. For example, a regular decorative pattern on the wall, a regular way of laying floor tiles on the ground, and a regular arrangement of light fixtures on the ceiling can all be used to increase the sense of dynamism of the space through rhythm. In actual design, designers can achieve specific design goals through the reasonable use of repetition and rhythm. For example, in the modern style design, through the repetition and rhythm to create a simple, clean space atmosphere; in the traditional style design, through the repetition and rhythm to increase the solemnity of space, stability. In short, repetition and rhythm is a very flexible and powerful means of design, which can be flexibly utilized according to the needs of design to achieve the purpose of design. 5. Conclusion In interior design, the design principles of point and line, rhythm and repetition in planar composition are important references for designers when laying out and designing spaces. Through the rational use of these principles, a rich and varied, harmonious and unified atmosphere can be created for the space, making people feel comfortable and happy in it. Whether it is a modern minimalist style or a traditional classical style, these design principles can provide inspiration and guidance for designers, helping them to create a unique interior environment.
