- Analyzing the chemical makeup of Cocos nucifera stem bark and Citrulus lanatus seeds by Buraimoh (2025) - The results of the examination of C. lanatus seeds and C. nucifera stem bark revealed that while both plants had low concentrations of vitamins B1, B2, and B3, they were rich in certain vitamins, including A, E, and C. Low levels of phytate, oxalate, hemaglutinin, and trypsin inhibitor were found in C. lanatus seed and C. nucifera stem bark, according to anti-nutrient analysis. The protein and fat content of C. lanatus seeds was found to be substantially (P<0.05) higher than that of C. nucifera stem bark.
