Starting with volume 19 in 2010, Agricultural and Food Science will become an open access journal. With this change, the journal will be accessible via the internet to all users, free of charge. Printed copies will then be produced at request only, at a specified price. The open access format will keep the style and layout of the journal. With this last printed issue, bound in decorative covers for the celebration, and with the change to open access from this special issue onwards, Agricultural and Food Science joins in congratulating the Scientific Agricultural Society of Finland on its 100th anniversary.
