Introduction The system of training future speech pathologists in Uzbekistan is implemented by the faculties of the pedagogical profile of universities. These faculties offer special training programs for speech pathologists. These programs cover various areas of speech pathology, such as speech defects, hearing disorders, visual impairments, physical defects, etc. Future speech pathologists master pedagogical knowledge through theoretical and practical training. Practical classes are held in preschool institutions, special schools, specialized educational institutions and other institutions. In addition, future defectologists are sent to study in foreign countries to study best practices and improve their skills in the field of defectology. The system of training future speech pathologists in foreign countries differs from the Uzbek one. In many developed countries, advanced methods of training speech pathologists are used. For example, in the United States, future speech therapists are trained using interactive training programs, stimulating games, group work, and other modern teaching methods. They also participate in clinical practice to master their profession, allowing them to gain experience in a real-world environment. In Australia, special attention is paid to the formation of pedagogical responsibility of future speech pathologists. In this country, future speech pathologists are taught to understand the specific needs of students, treat them with courtesy and respect, cooperate with students ' parents and provide them with support.
