Introduction Traditional music and instrumental performance have been integral parts of cultural heritage for centuries and have been a medium for storytelling, expression, and preservation of traditions. Following the structure of IMRAD, this study aims to illuminate the intricacies of traditional instrument performance and its enduring relevance in modern society. Methods: A comprehensive review of scientific articles, ethnographic research, and historical sources was carried out to study the performance of traditional instruments. In addition, interviews were conducted with skilled traditional musicians to learn about their experiences and perspectives on this art form. LITERATURE REVIEW AND METHODS. To further explore the performing arts in traditional instrumentation, mixed methods that combine qualitative and quantitative methods are used to gather comprehensive insights on the topic. The following methods are used: 1. Literature review: A systematic review of the existing literature is carried out on the implementation of traditional tools to synthesize existing knowledge, identify gaps in research and contextualize research within the framework of existing scientific discourse. 2. Conversations: In-depth interviews are conducted with experienced traditional musicians to understand their views on the performing arts in traditional instruments. Through semi-structured interviews, musicians are asked about their training, performance techniques, cultural influences, and the importance of traditional instrumental performance in their lives. 3. Observational Research: Observational studies are conducted during live traditional instrument performances to analyze musicians' technical skills, stage presence, and interactions with the audience. These observations provide valuable insights into the dynamics of performance and the impact of traditional instrumental performances on audiences. 4. Questionnaires: Questionnaires are distributed to collect quantitative data on the emotional responses, cultural perceptions, and overall satisfaction of audience members participating in traditional instrumental performances.
