Introduction Cognitive linguistics, a science that arose on a cognitive basis, initially entered as a purely applied science related to computer modeling of human thought processes. N.W. Krushevsky was the first to pay attention to the systematicity of the relations of lexical units. He developed the main principle of development of language, which he believed to be in the form of the law of "correspondence of the world of words to the world of thoughts." The scientist showed that changes in word meanings depend on changes in our perception of reality. M.M. Pokrovsky formulated a position on the laws of semantic changes in words. He wrote in his works, "Reflections on the Variation of Word Meanings": "The diversity of word meanings is, in fact, subject to general laws. We need to look for the real reason for the change in the values of the living conditions and the corresponding changes in the real environment where these objects and people are located, words and very subtle things can be discovered. The history of word meanings, M.M. In the works of many Russian linguists, one can find the origin of modern cognitive, or rather, categorical language. The understanding of the systematic nature of the dictionary and the laws of changes in its semantics formed the basis of historical and lexicological research, and then it was organically modified. It is known that linguistics and its various fields developed according to their own development process in each period. For example, in the 18th century there were mainly comparative historical views among related languages, while the structural paradigm that dominated in the last century was replaced by a set of anthropocentric, functional, cognitive and dynamic paradigms. A number of directions are developing in the anthropocentric paradigm of modern linguistics, of which cognitive linguistics and linguoculturalism are the most relevant directions today. Cognitive linguistics studies language as a cognitive mechanism in its transformation and encoding. The goal of linguistics is to understand the process of perception in terms of how it emerges, categorizes, classifies, and interprets the world. Pragmatics combines cognitive processes and principles of interpretation of statements and speech acts. At the same time, the pragmatic factors arising from the conditions of speech situation, communicative goals, strategy and tactics and determining the possibilities of speech influence are part of the cognitive processes that occur in the human mind. The introduction of a pragmatic module (aspect) into the system of cognitive processing and information processing led to the emergence of mental pragmatics, the further development of cognitive algebra within the framework of functionalism, as well as the emergence of a new approach to language - cognitive pragmatics. , which explores the mental and speech foundations of communication. cognitive theory appears to be a part of pragmatics (pragmatic aspect is primary, cognitive aspect is secondary): Pragmatics is seen as a science that studies the interconnected cognitive, social and cultural aspects of language and communication. The main question that pragmatics aims to answer is: "What is the use of language?": English. - "How to use the language correctly: how to use the language?" within this approach, an additional question is added to it: "What does language do for a person, or what does a person do for himself through the use of language?": English language. - "How does language affect people or what do people achieve by speaking the language?" . Pragmatics is the key to understanding life, behavior, cognition, and communication processes in general: "Pragmatics is the key to a holistic understanding of life, behavior, cognition, and communication." This view of pragmatics also emphasizes its inextricability with cognitive processes through the construction, interpretation, and transmission of rational experience and knowledge. Thus, based on this approach, pragmatics studies language in action, the relationship between linguistic form and language use, and studies the cognitive processes that language use takes place in the social world with different linguistic and cultural realities, value systems and mentalities. contains z. The convergence of cognitive and pragmatic approaches goes back to the concept of the "interpreter" proposed by Charles Peirce. Charles Peirce's communicative model of the sign is represented by three components (sign - object - interpreter), one of which - the interpreter - according to M. V. Nikitin, performs the functions of a concept or concept and makes it possible to distinguish between their types. It is this diversity of the "interpretive" phenomenon that helps the cognitive and pragmatic aspects to converge. Another similar feature of the cognitive and pragmatic approaches is the principle of inference based on Paul Grice's theory of implications and Ray Jackendoff's conceptual semantics.
