This article discusses the importance of fostering a culture of safety in higher education institutions in the context of contemporary challenges and crises. The author emphasizes that education plays a key role in adapting individuals to social and technological changes. The safety principle is highlighted as a central element of the educational process, aimed at reducing the impact of negative factors and shaping a resilient society. Key words: stress, education, corruption, physically weak. Introduction The formation of a safety culture in an individual should become the goal of general education, which today is one of the most effective mechanisms for shaping the worldview and mentality of students. In modern life, an increasing amount of attention is given to issues related to overcoming various crisis events arising from the development of civilized society, as well as natural changes. Scientific and technological progress contributes to the growth of material well-being and the intellectual potential of society, but at the same time, it also leads to an increase in the number of various accidents, natural disasters, and catastrophes. Additionally, negative social phenomena such as warfare, terrorism, corruption, etc., are intensifying, shaping distinct relationships in the world and society. A person evolving in conditions of constant social stress experiences continuous discomfort under the influence of negative factors, becoming morally and physically weak. As a result, a person undergoing constant social anxiety becomes uncontrollable in behavior, gradually becoming "unable to think independently," fearing the future, rapid changes, and becoming dependent on entertainment, alcohol, drugs, etc., attempting to disconnect from the surrounding world. To achieve success, some people forget the concepts of "honest work" and "patriotism," which were the foundation for assessing the importance and content of human life by our ancestors. What should be included in education as a mechanism for forming a safety culture for generations? In addition to the principles of humanism, transparency, continuity, and openness of education, it is relevant to introduce the principle of educational safety into the most important methodological component, namely, into the system of modern educational principles. How can education change course by implementing the principle of safety? The first aspect: Education itself cannot change the objective conditions of human life and society, including negative and dangerous conditions. However, a rational formulation of requirements becomes a necessary condition for the development and change of conditions. 239 AMERICAN Journal of Language, Literacy and Learning in STEM Education www. grnjournal.us The second aspect: To survive in crisis conditions, everyone must act correctly in dangerous situations, protect themselves and their loved ones, and not pose a threat to others. Education can provide: - a comprehensive and substantive understanding of each safety issue; - the ability to creatively change reality to prevent risks; - the acquisition of relationship skills, etc., to protect oneself and others from danger. However, all of this can become a reality in a dangerous environment through the implementation of a new educational strategy, related to methodologically justified definition of educational goals, and the development of corresponding educational content. For sustainable societal development and effective management, it is crucial to shape the holistic consciousness and thinking of people compared to the present time. Today, no social phenomenon can be separated from the cultural aspect of safety. To achieve this, it is necessary not only to study the culture of a safe life but also to perceive it as a constant need for accumulating spiritual experience and passing it on to future generations to ensure the safety of human life, society, and humanity. Here, the second aspect of goal-setting comes into play—the need for the improvement and development of individuals possessing security. The idea of education is to create conditions for the formation of a safe type of person capable of self-management. In real situations, this can and should become the idea of education today. In the context of the integration processes of the global community, the unifying ideas are cultural ideas reflecting the values and priorities of today: - the idea of a complete understanding of life; - the idea of personal safety; - the idea of fostering tolerance among the younger generation. In implementing these ideas, attention is given to preserving each individual by raising their level of education, i.e., forming a personality capable of returning to the high aspirations, life ideas, and priorities of human ancestors. This can benefit oneself, loved ones, the society in which one lives, and humanity as a whole. All these ideas are directly related to solving the issue of security. Global security issues, as well as national and personal security, must be assessed literally and methodically. Adjustments must be made to important priority directions in the development of education, the content, and directions of educational activities in integration, and stages and mechanisms of implementation must be defined. It is evident that, based on the above priorities, the established system of education and upbringing can prepare individuals to overcome the negative aspects of real life. The most important thing is to significantly reduce the impact of negative factors on human life by imparting intellectual, moral, and practical experience; forming justified needs; which can be achieved through the development of spirituality, a necessary condition for the development of situations by individuals as active agents. The aspect of forming a safe personality includes the safety of the individual itself (personal, professional, national, informational, etc.), as well as the safety of behavior (for the state, society, nation). Within the implementation of these important priorities, any truth, any information in an educational institution of any type and level is considered a fact necessary for the preservation of human life, nation, state, and society, necessary for the realization of each individual's life directions. Relationships between facts are necessary conditions for forming a free, unbiased view of the world. Therefore, the concept of educating the younger generation, based on the ideas of existence, must serve the values of education, pluralism of worldviews, harmony of interests between individuals and society, and humanitarian values. The goal of education is to form a personality capable of quickly adapting to changing conditions, possessing high moral spirit, activity, and determination. 240 AMERICAN Journal of Language, Literacy and Learning in STEM Education www. grnjournal.us The principle of safety today must take a leading role since it has both methodological and practical significance. On the one hand (methodological), the formed individual determines the idea that provides a conceptual basis for the model of a safe type of person; on the other hand (practical), it is responsible for ensuring the safety of the entire educational process without causing harm to individuals. The necessity of a systemic representation of students, aimed at fulfilling the main condition of sustainable civilization development in the world, requires significant development of the content of education. The justification and implementation of the principle of safety in education today are one of the main principles of educational development. Essentially, this is a criterion that considers all elements of the pedagogical system from the perspective of the safety of its components for the purpose of forming a safe life for individuals. So, to solve these problems, it is essential to fundamentally change people's consciousness, psychology, worldview, and mentality. Human society must be rationally manageable, a safe type of society of individuals. To survive, a person must change their thinking—not only taking care of themselves and others but also directing their entire life toward the safe development of society. In the future, in the development of our Republic's economy, it is important to instill a culture of safety in the minds of the youth to ensure the well-being of the population. Used literature: 1.
