In the modern world, against the backdrop of rapid technological development and a constant flow of information, museums remain an oasis of calm and knowledge. They are evolving from simple repositories of artifacts into dynamic centers playing an important role in the cultural and educational life of society. Museums become places where history is not just preserved, but brought to life through exhibitions, programs and interactive presentations. In this introduction, we look at how contemporary museums are moving beyond traditional functions, boldly exploring new formats and ways of interacting with visitors, and how their role in society continues to evolve with a changing world. A museum is an institution that collects, preserves, studies, explores and exhibits various objects of historical, cultural, scientific or artistic value. The main purpose of the museum is to provide the public with access to these objects and to expand their knowledge and understanding of the world through interaction with collections. Museums can store a variety of objects, including works of art (paintings, sculptures), archaeological finds, anthropological exhibits, scientific collections (animal skeletons, minerals, dinosaurs), household items, historical artifacts, documents, photographs and much more. A. Museums perform a number of functions: B. Museums collect objects and ensure their preservation for future generations in order to preserve the cultural and historical heritage. C. Many museums conduct active research programs to study and analyze their collections, as well as conduct scientific research in various fields. http://www/ 220 AMERICAN Journal of Language, Literacy and Learning in STEM Education www. grnjournal.us D. Museums organize various exhibitions where they present their collections to the public. These exhibitions can be permanent or temporary and are intended for education and entertainment of visitors. E. Many museums develop educational programs and activities such as lectures, excursions, workshops and interactive games to help visitors deepen their knowledge and understanding of the topics of exhibitions. F. Museums serve as a place for communication, exchange of ideas and creation of a cultural community. They hold various events, such as concerts, meetings with artists, festivals, etc., to attract a wide audience and promote cultural diversity. These functions make museums important cultural and educational institutions that contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage, education of society and scientific research. Museums play an important role in preserving and transmitting historical heritage. Here are a few ways how history is connected to museums: Museums collect, preserve and exhibit artifax related to various periods and events in history. These items can include ancient artifact, household items, weapons, clothes, documents and much more. Many museums organize temporary and permanent exhibitions dedicated to certain historical topics or periods. These exhibitions allow visitors to immerse themselves in history, learn about important events and figures, as well as understand the context and meaning of historical events. Museums develop educational programs that help visitors understand historical events, context and their meaning. These programs may include lectures, excursions, workshops and interactive activities. Many museums conduct research in the field of history, studying their collections and conducting scientific research on various aspects of the past. Through their collections, exhibitions, educational programs and research activities, museums help preserve history, spread knowledge about the past and make it available to a wide audience. Museum exhibits play an important role in preserving the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, as they are material objects reflecting the richness and diversity of the history, art and culture of this country. Here are a few ways in which museum exhibits serve as the basis for preserving the culture of Uzbekistan: Museum exhibits, such as archaeological finds, household items, works of art and manuscripts, help to present the history of Uzbekistan for many centuries. They allow visitors to learn about the great civilizations that flourished in this territory, such as Zoroastrianism, Ancient Khorezm, Bactria, Sogdiana, as well as the influence of Islam and other cultures. Museum collections contain handicrafts such as patterns, embroidery, ceramics, jewelry and ancient manuscripts that help preserve the traditional skills and knowledge of artisans. Museums conduct research and organize educational programs that help to expand knowledge about the culture of Uzbekistan, Its history, art and traditions. These programs may include lectures, exhibitions, excursions and master classes. The rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, presented in museums, attracts tourists from all over the world, which contributes to the development of the tourism industry and contributes to increasing interest in the culture of the country. Museums play a key role in preserving and protecting cultural sites, ensuring their preservation and preventing their destruction, theft or illegal trade. Thanks to museum collections, Uzbekistan preserves and promotes its unique cultural and historical identity, making it accessible to a wide audience and future generations. http://www/ 221 AMERICAN Journal of Language, Literacy and Learning in STEM Education www. grnjournal.us There are many unique museums in Uzbekistan that may be of interest to tourists.
