This article examines the importance of developing pedagogical skills in the process of teaching the English language. English plays a key role not only as a tool for learning the language but also in developing students' communication, expression of ideas, and necessary pedagogical skills in the educational process. The article highlights the impact of the English language on the teaching and learning process in the education system, interactive methods, and ways of creating effective communication among students. The role of English in developing pedagogical skills is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of the educational process. Through learning the language, students acquire independent thinking, writing, and oral communication skills. The article analyzes methods for developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and active participation in social environments through English language teaching. Interactive activities, group work, and discussions encourage students to engage more actively in learning English. This article explains the role and significance of the English language in the development of pedagogical skills, highlighting the importance of its effective use in the educational system. The methodological and psychological approaches of teaching English help in developing pedagogical skills, enabling students not only to learn the language but also to achieve success in the broader educational system. Introduction English is learned as a second language in many countries around the world and serves as an essential tool for global communication. Today, English is not only important for acquiring knowledge but also plays a significant role in developing pedagogical skills. Pedagogical skills refer to the skills, qualifications, and knowledge used by educators in the teaching process, encompassing students’ abilities to think independently, communicate, and actively participate in social environments. Developing these skills in the process of teaching English helps students not only learn the language but also succeed in various fields, including pedagogy and psychology. This article explores the role and importance of the English language in the development of pedagogical skills and discusses how pedagogical skills can be developed through English language teaching. "The integration of interactive methods such as group activities, debates, and problem-solving exercises into the English language teaching process enhances students' engagement and encourages them to think critically. These activities promote active participation, allowing students to not only acquire language skills but also to practice teamwork, leadership, and conflict resolution—essential pedagogical skills for both academic and real-world scenarios. By engaging students in discussions, they are encouraged to express their thoughts more clearly, listen to others’ perspectives, and collaborate effectively in diverse settings.Moreover, the role of English in developing pedagogical skills extends beyond just communication. In doing so, students are better equipped to tackle complex issues, think analytically, and make informed decisions, which are fundamental aspects of effective pedagogy.Thus, the study and teaching of English is a powerful tool in shaping not only linguistically proficient individuals but also well-rounded, critical thinkers capable of excelling in various educational and professional environments." Methodology This study was conducted using qualitative methods. The main objective of the research was to identify effective methods for developing pedagogical skills in the process of teaching English. The study involved 100 students and 10 teachers. A survey was conducted among the students, asking questions about the methods used in teaching English, students' communication skills in English, the effectiveness of teaching methods, and the impact of interactive methods. Additionally, interviews with teachers were conducted to examine the importance of teaching methodology in developing pedagogical skills. The data collection process consisted of the following stages: Survey modification: An online survey and questionnaires were conducted with 100 students. The survey included questions about methods used in teaching English, how students express their thoughts, difficulties in communication, and the effectiveness of interactive methods. Interviews with teachers: Face-to-face interviews were conducted with 10 teachers to analyze their teaching methodologies and their impact on the development of students’ pedagogical skills. Analysis of results: The results were analyzed based on the gathered data, and connections between English teaching methods and the development of pedagogical skills were identified, revealing general trends. Moreover, the study revealed that the integration of interactive methods into the English language teaching process significantly improved students' engagement and motivation. It was observed that students who actively participated in discussions and group tasks were more confident in using the language in real-life situations. Teachers noted that these interactive techniques were not only effective in language acquisition but also in fostering essential pedagogical skills such as collaboration, leadership, and adaptability. The research highlighted that the development of pedagogical skills through English language learning requires the use of diverse and engaging teaching methods. Interactive approaches, when applied correctly, can lead to a more dynamic and effective learning environment, equipping students with the skills necessary to succeed in both academic and real-world contexts. Conclusion The primary aim of this study was to examine the importance of developing pedagogical skills in the process of teaching English. The research analyzed effective methods in teaching English, students' communication skills, and the impact of interactive methods. The key findings of the study are as follows:First, interactive methods in the process of teaching English, such as group work, discussion activities, and collaborative tasks, were found to be effective for students. The research results showed that interactive methods help develop students’ communication skills and the ability to express their thoughts clearly. By participating in interactive activities, students not only improve their language skills but also develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and active participation in social environments. Second, it was identified that the difficulties students face in expressing their thoughts in English are often related to pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. The students who participated in the survey indicated that pronunciation and grammar were the main obstacles. This situation calls for a review of the methodology used by English language teachers, suggesting the need for additional exercises and practical lessons to assist students in these areas.Third, effective communication between students and teachers is essential in the process of teaching English. Teachers must continuously develop their pedagogical skills, try new methods, and apply approaches tailored to the needs of students. The teachers involved in the study prioritized interactive methods and individual work with students. Their methodological approaches contribute to making the learning process more engaging and effective for students.The results of the study demonstrate that teaching English is not only about language acquisition. It must also involve developing students' pedagogical skills and preparing them to be more effective communicators in various social contexts. Teaching methods and approaches play a crucial role in developing skills such as participation in social activities, problem-solving, and critical thinking.Furthermore, future research may focus on the impact of other methods in English language teaching, including online education and the role of digital technologies in developing pedagogical skills. Online and distance learning methods provide new opportunities for effective communication with students, leading to the development of new pedagogical skills for both students and teachers. Overall, this study allowed for a deep analysis of methods and the development of pedagogical skills in the process of teaching English. The findings will help improve the effectiveness of teaching methods and the support provided to students. The role of the English language in the education system and its importance in developing pedagogical skills continues to grow. One of the most important subjects for teachers is pedagogy or teaching practice. Pedagogy covers a wide range of topics, most of which fall under the categories of teaching theory or real teaching methods. If one wants to become an English language teacher, it is crucial to learn more about the pedagogical skills of teaching English, which are regularly used in schools. This section discusses the pedagogical skills of English teachers, how to improve them, and how to apply them in the classroom. Additionally, pedagogical competence expresses the extended pedagogical abilities and skills of teachers when serving students.
