resources of society. Until now, it has gone through several stages of evolution, the alternation of 

these stages is mainly determined by the development of scientific and technical progress, the 

emergence of new technical means of information processing.

modern society, it has had a significant impact on the concept of construction and use of

consequently changed its name by adding one of the synonyms "new", "computer" or "modern". 

Spreadsheets are a powerful tool that can be found in various fields of human life, used in 

solving calculation and economic problems, including in the rapid re-development of problems 

that change data quickly, for example, in solving large-scale problems, such as working with 

bank documents. . 

The first spreadsheet program was created in 1979 by Software Arts under the name Visicals 

(Visiblencalculators). This program was developed for the Apple II computer, and in many ways 

its popularity was determined in the market. In 1981, with the appearance of the IBM PS 

computer, spreadsheets for this type of computer began to be developed. New versions of 

Visicals and Supercals programs appeared. , together with this, the first application program of 

Microsoft - Multiplan appeared, and it became the shining star of the new generation of 

spreadsheets.
