Introduction Our time is called the era of technological revolution. It is no secret that advances in digital technologies, especially in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), are causing fundamental changes in the history of mankind. Today, many tasks that were previously only possible for humans are being automated through AI: making medical diagnoses, driving cars, writing texts, and even analyzing court decisions. However, along with this progress, a major concern has arisen: “Will AI leave us unemployed?” Or, on the contrary, will it open up new horizons, new professions, and new opportunities for humanity? This article will cover this question in detail: we will consider what jobs AI is taking away, what new ones it is creating, what skills people need to have, and how Uzbekistan is preparing for this process. Benefits of artificial intelligence for humans 1. Increase work efficiency AI can automate simple and repetitive tasks. This allows people to do complex and creative work. 2. Assistance in medicine Artificial intelligence helps in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in medicine with high accuracy. For example, when analyzing X-ray or MRI results, AI systems reduce human errors. 3. Create opportunities in education AI-based curricula adapt to the individual needs of each student, therefore increasing educational efficiency. 143 Journal of Public Diplomacy and International Studies www. grnjournal.us 4. Improve quality of life Intelligent systems in the home and workplace (for example, smart homes, voice assistants) make people's daily lives easier. 5. Creating new professions and opportunities AI technologies are leading to the emergence of new jobs and professions - for example, in the fields of data analysis, AI programming, robotics. 6. Fast and efficient data analysis AI can quickly and efficiently analyze large volumes of data, helping people make important decisions. 7. Security and emergency assistance AI systems increase the ability to monitor security, prevent crime, and respond quickly to emergencies. Artificial Intelligence and Disappearing Professions It is known from history: each technological revolution “makes” a number of professions “obsolete”. For example, in the 19th century, the industrial revolution replaced the manual work of weavers with machines. Similarly, today's AI revolution is putting a number of professions at risk. Manufacturing and service industries ➢ Many ordinary workers are becoming redundant due to automated factories. ➢ Cashiers and operators are being replaced by self-service kiosks and chatbots. ➢ The threat to taxi drivers is autonomous (self-driving) cars. ➢ Bank employees, advertising specialists, customer service representatives - AI can work in these areas faster, more accurately and cheaper. According to the McKinsey Global Institute, 400-800 million people may lose their jobs by 2030 due to artificial intelligence. New jobs created by artificial intelligence However, technologies do not only destroy - they also have the power to create. Each new technology brings new needs, new professions, new opportunities. AI is no exception. New professions and roles: ➢ AI engineers, data scientists, machine learning specialists ➢ Prompt engineer - a specialist in asking questions to AI models, optimizing results ➢ AI ethics experts - a profession that monitors whether AI decisions are fair and do not lead to discrimination ➢ Cybersecurity specialists - identifying and preventing risks based on AI Also, specialists who can work with artificial intelligence will be needed in many areas: in medicine, marketing, logistics and transport, education. Freelance and remote work opportunities: With the help of artificial intelligence, anyone can create their own brand: design, video editing, copywriting, translation, coding - now all of them are done much faster with the help of AI. As a result, new startups, freelance formats, and online professions are emerging. 144 Journal of Public Diplomacy and International Studies www. grnjournal.us Humans and AI – not competitors, but partners Will AI completely replace humans? No. Because artificial intelligence specializes in solving problems in a specific area. Humans, on the other hand, have qualities such as creative thinking, moral judgment, intuition, and adaptability. Collaboration model: AI will not “replace” humans, but will rather assist them. For example: ➢ A doctor — increases accuracy with the help of AI, but still makes decisions on his own. ➢ A teacher — creates individual lesson plans using AI, but only he has human understanding and motivation. ➢ A writer or journalist — quickly collects facts based on AI, but the plot and style are the product of creativity. In the context of Uzbekistan: a threat or an opportunity? Active work is being carried out in Uzbekistan to introduce artificial intelligence within the framework of the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy. According to presidential decrees, AI technologies are being introduced into such areas as education, healthcare, justice, and public services. Current trends: ➢ The number of IT schools and universities is increasing - future specialists are being trained. ➢ A national strategy for AI is being developed. ➢ Local startups (for example: OneID, Imkon.uz) are providing services based on AI. ➢ To take advantage of these opportunities: ➢ Young people must have technical and digital literacy. ➢ Soft skills - critical thinking, communication, flexibility - will become even more important. ➢ Lifelong learning - the main motto of the new era. Conclusion Artificial intelligence is not only a threat, but also a storehouse of opportunities. It automates simple tasks, but it cannot compete with human capabilities for logical thinking, ethical decision- making, and creativity. If someone develops himself, keeps up with the times, AI will become an assistant. But if someone stops at one place, technology can take his place. Therefore, the time has come to learn to work with artificial intelligence, not compete with it. References 1.
