In this process, non-verbal communication, i.e. language tools other than words, as well as facial expressions, physical movements and body language play an important role. Nonverbal communication is of particular importance in language learning and can significantly improve students' language comprehension and expression. In this article, we will provide detailed information about the role and importance of non-verbal communication in the language learning process. Introduction Non-verbal communication is non-verbal ways of exchanging information between people. This includes facial expressions, body movements, hand movements, and more. Nonverbal communication often helps improve student comprehension during language learning because it creates a context that accompanies words. Through non-verbal communication between people, there is an opportunity for mutual understanding and expression of feelings. This is important in language learning. The importance of non-verbal communication in the process of language learning is evident in several ways. MATERIALS AND METHODS Nonverbal communication can make language learning more fun and effective. Learners learn new words and phrases more easily by observing nonverbal cues. For example, when the teacher shows an action or a facial expression, the students try to translate this action into language. This will speed up their language acquisition process. Non-verbal communication allows students to express themselves while learning a new language. Although students do not know words, they can communicate their thoughts and feelings through nonverbal means. For example, when agreeing or disagreeing with something, they can express their thoughts using hand movements or facial expressions. This will develop their communication skills. Nonverbal communication is also closely related to culture in language learning. Nonverbal signals and their meanings differ in each culture. Students should know the importance of non-verbal signals in communication and interpret them correctly. [2] RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS Nonverbal communication can be used in language learning in several ways. Teachers can increase student interest by using nonverbal cues in lessons. For example, a teacher can teach students new words and phrases using different facial expressions and physical movements during the lesson. This method improves students' memory and speeds up the language acquisition process. In addition, teachers can develop non-verbal communication by conducting role-plays and simulations. When students act out a situation, they try to use and understand nonverbal cues correctly. This makes their language acquisition process more efficient. Through role-playing, students understand the importance of non-verbal communication in different situations and it increases their interest in language.[3] Students' ability to understand non-verbal communication is also very important. Students must learn to interpret nonverbal cues correctly. This, in turn, improves their language acquisition process. Teachers should teach students how to correctly interpret non-verbal signals.For example, a teacher can show students how to express emotions through facial expressions and body movements. It increases students' interest in non-verbal communication and encourages them to be more active in interaction. Non-verbal communication plays a special role in language learning. It helps students acquire the language, develops their communication skills and helps them understand the culture. Teachers can make lessons more interesting and effective by using nonverbal cues. And learners make the process of acquiring a new language easier by understanding and using non-verbal communication. Teachers need to recognize the importance of non-verbal communication and take these aspects into account when planning lessons. By using non-verbal cues during the lesson, teachers can increase students' interest, attract their attention and make the language acquisition process more effective. Teachers should develop their own nonverbal communication skills and teach students how to use their nonverbal cues. Nonverbal communication also plays an important role in developing students' emotional intelligence.[4] By understanding and using nonverbal cues, students improve their ability to manage their emotions and communicate effectively with others. This, in turn, develops their social skills. Students with emotional intelligence understand themselves and others better, which makes their language learning process more effective.[5] CONCLUSION The language learning process involves many factors, including non-verbal communication. Non- verbal communication is important in language learning and enhances students' ability to understand and express language. Teachers can make lessons more effective by using nonverbal cues. And learners facilitate the process of acquiring a new language by understanding and using non-verbal communication. Thus, the importance of non-verbal communication in language learning cannot be denied, as it is an integral part of the language learning process. A correct understanding of the role and importance of non-verbal communication in the process of language learning helps to make the language acquisition process of students more effective.
