Information about the most interesting product of this period, mercury jugs and their external decoration (ornaments) and their description is given. Pottery area, Old Termiz, ornament, ring, plant leaves, conical vessels, prints and others. Introduction Pottery vessels found during archeological excavations in Old Termiz pottery districts and other places of the city testify to the high development of pottery in Termiz in the Middle Ages. During the excavations, various painted and patterned glazed pottery vessels were found. Potters used a wide variety of decoration methods in the decoration of vessels. In particular, glazed earthenware vessels decorated with "flower" animals and unusual creatures with inscriptions of various types and contents amaze people with their artistic perfection. Such pottery is usually found more often during the exploration of the houses owned by the dark townspeople and in the caravansary. The reason for this is that such vessels were more expensive and not all ordinary citizens of the city could afford them. The discovery of this pottery neighborhood in Termiz is of great scientific importance. On the one hand, it makes it possible to clarify a number of problems related to the history of the medieval pottery of Termiz. We have seen above that pottery was highly developed in Termez in the Middle Ages. Termizk potters were very skilled at their work. The mercury bowls they made are especially noteworthy. Made with high taste and skill, this ceramic product was distinguished from other ceramic vessels by its appearance, quality, and price. Preparing the pots on the fire was complicated. Termiz potters were aware of all the achievements in this field of their time and fully mastered them. In the process of studying the external ornaments of the mercury jars found in the old Termiz area, we highlighted 35 different forms that are often found in them. 1. - decoration with six rows of parallel lines, between which there are three rows of concave lines. One such decorative vessel is kept in the museum fund. 2. - has a complex geometric appearance. Four rows of parallel lines are drawn. Between the lines, the shape of the corners is depicted using dots. There is also a decoration in the form of a bird's wing. There are five such decorated vessels. One of these containers is kept in the museum fund. 5. - There are 8 containers of the same appearance. A small circle is depicted between two bordered circles. 6. - such ornaments are depicted on the wall of four jugs. Crossed circular lines with four borders. There are two rows of concave lines between them. The central part of the circle protrudes from the wall of the container. 7. -two circular shapes and four triangles around them. 8. -decoration with complex geometric shapes. There are several dozen borders, an ellipsoid decoration in the middle, bangles connected by dots between the borders at the top and bottom, and small triangles between them. 9. - the image of a plant leaf is shown. 10. - between the two borders, the corners are depicted using double rows of dots. Inside the corners there are small triangles. 11. - the small circles are decorated in two rows in the pressing method. And a wavy line was drawn between them. 12. - five such decorative jugs are on display in the museum. 13. - this decoration is also geometrically complex. The corner shape is combined with the help of single-row points. Four rows of triangles are depicted between the corners. 14. -two lines border decoration. Such decorative jars are found in the largest number (eighteen). 15. -printed flowers. 16. -geometrically complex looking ornament. Between two rows of crossed borders, concave elliptical shapes are depicted in scratch. The head and lower part are given wavy decoration. An egg-shaped shape is drawn next to it. 19. - there is a small circle in the center, and three lines of such a circle are drawn around it. Four jugs in the museum fund have this decoration. 20. - a circle is depicted in the center in the printing method. Five mercury cells of this type were found. 21. - circular decoration. In the lower part, there are two pieces of decoration in the form of a half-moon, which are parallel to each other. 22. -five rows of circular lines. In the middle, a circular shape is drawn in the center. There are concave lines between the rings. 23. - surrounded by two rows of borders. The almond-shaped decoration is drawn in a printed manner. In the center of the almond-shaped shape are three concave sticks, surrounded by small leaves. Among the almond-shaped decorations are small triangles at the top and bottom. We can see these signs on three jars. 24. -mercury jars with a circle image make up a large part of the museum fund. They differ in the number of internal circles. This ornament also has an inner small circle and two rows of rings around it. 25. - this ornament made with very fine skill is four pieces in the museum collection. The image of wheat is printed on the surface of the jug. 26. -five rows of vertical parallel lines and a zigzag line drawn between the third and fourth rows. 27. - a large number of small circles are imprinted. Between them, the shape of a bird's wing protrudes horizontally. On the wing, the corners are depicted in a horizontal sequence using small dots. One large and several small leaves are depicted in horizontal view. 29. -small circles are irregularly drawn in a printed manner. They are separated by sticks drawn horizontally. 30. - such decorations can be found in two mercury cups. 31. - This ornament, placed on the surface of the mercury vessels, consists of two rows of circular rings. A row of concave lines is drawn in between. 32. -four rows of parallel lines are drawn vertically in a scratching pattern. Between the second and third rows, there is an image of flower petals. 33. - this ornament, placed on the surface of the jars, consists of five rows of parallel lines vertically. 34. - this ornament also consists of five rows of parallel lines. The difference from the above decoration is that small leaves are printed unevenly. 35. - images of plant leaves are imprinted on the surface of some of the mercury cells. References 1.
