AEER 2005 ISSN: 1054-4720 Call For Papers The Anthropology of East Europe Review Guest editor for AEER's Fall 2005 issue is looking for anthropologically informed papers based on ethnographic field research conducted in Central and Eastern Europe. Scholars recently returned from the "field" and those living in the region are particularly encouraged to submit their work. We're especially interested in papers focusing on the following questions such as: a. Is "post-socialism" still a useful analytical category to apply in our studies? b. How could the anthropological literature be married to post-colonial literature with or without a divorce? c. How are Central and Eastern European societies impacted by the EU's Eastern Enlargement? d. Does the EU act as a globalizing or a regionalizing force? We are expecting papers focusing on these themes and based on empirical research; however, all papers will be considered based on their merits.
