Cr3+ ion is the interesting ion to dope into the inorganic materials owing to its deep red colours (~ 700 nm) and narrow band emissions due to the spin-forbidden 2E →4A2 transition or broadband emission (650-1600 nm) due to the spin-allowed 4T2→4A2 transition, which strongly depends on the surrounding crystal-field strength given by the host lattices [15–17].	cache/bibechana-62845.pdf	txt/bibechana-62845.txt
