Though the application of microbial decomposers for paddy straw degradation has been suggested by several workers, the present work reveals that the intrinsic microflora present in the soil can contribute to in situ paddy straw degradation only when paddy straw is mixed in soil and a significant window period (time interval between microbial spray and sowing of next crop) is given.	cache/brj-23619.pdf	txt/brj-23619.txt
