In terms of vegetation biomass, the aboveground biomass of the mutualistic Spartina alterniflora community reached 10 to 15 t/ha, which is significantly higher than that of Phragmites australis (5 to 8 t/ha) and Suaeda salsa (2 to 4 t/ha), providing a rich source of inputs for soil organic carbon.
