Abstract
The heritage and wisdom of our ancestors is very important in main-

taining and promoting the culture of communities and society. This cultural her-

itage covers traditional practices, arts, and traditional medicine. and agricultural 

techniques This article aims to study the concepts and methods of transmitting 

the wisdom of our ancestors both in Thailand and abroad. Using case studies 

from many countries to compare.

Introduction
The heritage and wisdom of our ancestors is an important part of our 

culture. Through verbal transmission, documents, and everyday practice. These 

legacies not only help future generations understand own history and culture 

but also strengthens ethnic pride and participation in the cultural heritage com-

munity and the transmission of wisdom in Thailand.

Thailand has a rich cultural heritage. Covers both performing arts 

and performing arts. folk music and martial arts such as Muay Thai There is also

an important example is Thai silk weaving which is an art that has been passed 

down from generation to generation especially in the northeastern region The 

process of weaving Thai silk is delicate and complex. Thai silk weaving was regis-

tered as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2019. Case 

study from abroad: Japan has passed on wisdom and cultural heritage through 

education and practice. such as The arts of tea brewing (Sad ō ) and flower 

arranging ( Ikebana) are taught in specialized institutes and schools. Japan also 

has festivals that provide opportunities for cultural expression and transmission, 

such as the Obon Festival. where the Bon Odori dance is performed and ances-

tor worship in France The transmission of heritage and wisdom is outstanding 

in gastronomy and wine. Different regions of France have passed down culinary 

knowledge and techniques from generation to generation, such as making world 

famous breads and cheeses. France also promotes the transfer of knowledge 

through education at leading gastronomy institutes.

How to preserve and promote the heritage and wisdom of our ancestors

serve this legacy. So that future generations can learn and be proud of their 

own culture.
