High As(III) oxidation efficiency (99%) was seen at pH of ≤ 7±3, suggesting the oxidation As(III) to As(V) is optimum at neutral pH. At pH of 1, it is not clearly understood why 50 % As(III) oxidation was achieved under acidic condition since As(III) dominates at pH range from 6-9.
