crl-12645	Smith, Jessie Carney	Special Collections of Black Literature in the Traditionally Black College	1974	14	.pdf	application/pdf	7792	310	50	During the years black collections in such libraries as the 135th Street Branch of the New York Public, Howard, Fisk, Yale, UCLA, and others have felt the influence of such persons as Arthur A. Schomburg, Carl Van Vechten, Lang- ston Hughes, and Arthur Spingarn, ei- ther through materials which they pre- sented to these libraries to enrich their collections or through the purchase of collections which they had assembled. The high mechanization, mas- sive collections, and generous budgets that characterize many of the prestig- ious libraries in America are unknown to black libraries.	cache/crl-12645.pdf	txt/crl-12645.txt
