Erin Anderson has been appointed the 
avIAn project coordinator (two-year grant) 
at the Iowa State University Library. 

Sarah Carter has been named art, archi-
tecture, and design librarian at the Indiana 
University-Bloomington Libraries.

Shaina Destine has been appointed 
residency librarian (three-year term) at the 
Iowa State University Library. 

Abbey Elder is now open access and 
scholarly communication librarian at the 
Iowa State University Library. 

Rosalie Gartner has been named lead 
processing archivist at the Iowa State Uni-
versity Library.

Jasmine Kirby is now social sciences 
and humanities librarian at the Iowa State 
University Library. 

Turner Masland has been appointed 
access services manager at Sonoma State 
University. 

Caitlin Moriarty is now National His-
torical Publications and Records Commis-
sion Project Archivist (two-year term) at 
the Iowa State University Library. 

Rosie Rowe has been appointed audio-
visual preservation specialist at the Iowa 
State University Library.

Hilary Smith is now research services 
and user experience librarian at Sonoma 
State University. 

Kaitlin Springmier has been named 
instruction and learning assessment librar-
ian at Sonoma State University. 

Cara Stone is now instruction librarian 
at the Iowa State University Library. 

Peter Sutton has been appointed avIAn 
metadata associate (two-year grant) at the 
Iowa State University Library.

Mary Wegmann has been appointed 
collection development librarian at Sonoma 
State University. 

Ryan Wolfslayer is now metadata li-

Charles Yier has been named social 
sciences and humanities librarian at the 
Iowa State University Library.

Retirements

Zachary M. Baker has retired from the 
Stanford University Libraries, after serv-
ing 18 years as Rein-
hard Family Curator of 
Judaica and Hebraica 
Collections. From 2010 
to 2017 he was also 
the assistant university 
librarian for collection 
development (Human-
ities and Social Sci-
ences). Before joining 
Stanford, he was head 
librarian of the YIVO 
Institute for Jewish Research in New York 
City (1987–99).
