Z ale w ski b e g an his career w ith Stanford Libraries as a library specialist a n d later becam e the acting c u ra to r. H e h a s a ls o b e e n a le c tu re r in Stanford’s D epartm ent o f Slavic Languages a n d Literatures since 1975.
