The workshop, sponsored y the American Society for Testing and Mate­ ials (ASTM) and held July 6-8, 1994, provided n international forum for discussing the dete­ ioration o f paper. The published proceedings nclude 18 scientific papers on such topics as aper perm anence, chemical deterioration, ar­ ificial and natural aging, and cooperative re­ earch programs. The EROMM records repre­ sent the microfilming activ­ ity of a num ber of European countries and are intended to facilitate international mi­ crofilming activity. The data are current as of August 1993 and future loads are anticipated. AMIGOS to sponsor third preservation management seminar AMIGOS Bibliographic Council, Inc. will host the third Preservation Management for College Libraries Seminar in the Southwest during the summer of 1995. The College Libraries Com­ mittee of the Commission on Preservation and Access and SOLINET, the Southeastern Librar­ ies Network, developed this very successful program and offered it at Washington and Lee University in 1991 and Wellesley College in 1993. The seminar is designed to assist college librarians with part-time responsibility for pres­ ervation to develop effective preservation pro­ grams. Emphasis is placed on understanding institutional needs, creating realistic solutions to problems, and developing an information netw ork that provides support after the semi­ nar ends.
