NYU also received a $27 2 ,0 0 0 gift from the Elm er and Mamdouha B o bst Foundation for the Mamdouha B ob st B o o k Endow ment Fund, bringing the endow m ent to $3 million. Norman Borlaug, known as the father of the G re e n R ev olu tion , has d o n a te d his extensive papers to the University o f Minnesota Libraries. Borlaug is the only laureate to have received a N obel P eace Prize for targeting crop p roduction as a w ay to prevent war. His w ork has focu sed o n d evelop ing strains o f w heat that produce under marginal conditions and provide subsistence farmers with a surplus to sell. The papers of Jam es B.
