T he Arabic p rin te d book collection, some 90,000 volum es housed in F irestone Library, dates from th e late 19th to early 20th centuries, and a lm o s t3/ 4 o f th e collection is p rin te d on highly acidic paper. Princeton is using th e M id-Atlantic Preservation Services (MAPS) to perform th e actual m icrofilm ­ ing.
