E ntitled “E d u c a tio n for B ibliographic In s tru c tio n ,” th e p ro g ra m ’s goals w ere to: 1) initiate com m unication betw een ALISE and A CRL/BIS and encourage in­ volvem ent betw een lib rary school faculty and BI practitioners; 2) clarify the definition and com po­ nents of education for BI; and 3) dem onstrate the im portance of library schools offering th e o p p o rtu ­ nity for BI ed u catio n .
