Professional ethics T he B oard approved th e “Standards for E thical C onduct for R are Book, M anuscript, an d Special Collections L ib raries,” developed by a C om m ittee of th e R are Books an d M anuscripts Section. These standards are published in this issue on p p. 134-35. Professional Association Liaison Committee T he Board accepted the recom m endation of the P lan n in g C o m m ittee th a t th e follow ing task be added to th e Professional Liaison Association C om ­ m ittee charge: to coordinate th e w ork of ACRL representatives to other organizations. Section newsletter policy T he B oard ap p ro v ed a revised version of th e ACRL Policy on Section Newsletters an d directed ACRL staff to send th e revised policy to the sections for com m ent. T he B oard w ill review th e com m ents on the policy at A nnual C onference in San F ra n ­ cisco. T he revised policy appears on pp. 138-39 of this issue. Washington State University computing services project T he Board voted to send a letter confirm ing the im portance of a study being conducted at WSU on th e o rg an iz atio n an d in te g ra tio n of lib ra ry and com puting services in th e research university. Women’s Studies Section T he Board approved th e Bylaws of th e W om en’s Studies Section, w hich ap p ear on pp. 137-38 of this issue. ■ ■
