The ACRL Committee on Appointments and 

Nominations and ACRL section nominating 
committees are seeking members who are in­
terested in serving the association and its 
sections through elective or appointive po­
sitions. Persons interested in being consid­
ered for nomination or appointment or in­
terested in making recommendations should 
contact a member of the appropriate committee 
before the Midwinter Meeting in January 1977.

ACRL Standards Working Papers 
Available from ERIC

The working papers of the ACRL Sub­
committee to Revise the 1959 “Standards 
for College Libraries” are available from 
the ERIC Document Reproduction Ser­
vice, as announced in the August 1976 
issue of Resources in Education. The pa­
pers were prepared as part of the com­
mittee’s work in revising the 1959 stan­
dards and present a background against 
which the purposes, objectives, and con­
cepts of the 1975 standards were formu­
lated.
