The com m ittee will also explore existing procedures for theft alert and recovery and work toward the developm ent of guidelines for libraries and antiquarian bookselling firms. Terry Belanger (assistant dean, School of Library Service, Columbia University, New York, NY 10027) asks persons with recent ex­ perience of a theft (or attem pted theft) to send him any published or other available informa­ tion about the theft.
