This COM catalog con­ tains descriptive cataloging for a collection of 1,656 volumes which comprised the original library of the oldest chartered college west of the Alleghenies. Tusculum, founded as Greeneville College in 1794, is the only post-Revolutionary frontier college to retain its original library substantially intact. Wright, Jr. (451 pages, April 1983), is the third recent vol­ ume on specialized aspects of the W ar of American Independence published by the U.S. Army Center of Military History.
