G renander D epartm ent o f Special Collection an d Archives at the University at Albany, SUNY, has retired after more than 28 years of service to the university libraries. During her tenure, she served in a variety o f administra­ tive positions focusing on collection devel­ opm ent, reference services, budget, p erson­ nel, public relations, fundraising, and special collections and archives. She also served as editor of “Library Update” (the Libraries’ news­ letter) an d liaison/secretary to the Friends of the Libraries from 1991 to 2000. Christiansen has served o n a num ber o f regional an d na­ tional organizations, including the Capital Dis­ trict Library Council (28 years), w here she served o n the Board of Trustees for 14 years (chaired the Board for six years) and served o n a variety o f committees. As a m em ber of ALA, she most recently served o n several LAMA committees. Mary Dolven has retired after 26 years as director o f libraiy services at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California. ■ In the December 2002 issue of C&RL News, the biographical sketch for vice-president/ president-elect candidate John Popko incor­ rectly stated (page 36) that he was a mem­ ber of the Budget and Finance committee of LAMA’s Library and Organization Man­ agement section (1988-92). He was actually a member of that section’s Comparative Li­ brary Organization Committee. It was also incorrectly stated (page 37) that Popko is a current member of the OCLC Users Council, rather than a past member who sat on the council for seven years. The editors regret the errors.
