Catalogues published between Jan ­ uary 1, 1983, and August 31, 1985, are eligible and must be subm itted by September 30, 1985, to the ACRL Rare Rooks and M anuscripts Section’s C om ­ m ittee for Awards for Exhibition Catalogues. The entries will be divided into three budget cat­ egories: expensive, m oderately expensive, and in­ expensive, based upon the production costs of the catalogue, thereby allowing institutions of similar publishing resources to compete w ithin the same category. Catalogues m ay be of varying form ats, styles, nd scope, but each must represent, either com pre­ ensively or selectively, an exhibition which has aken place. Late job listings will be accepted on a space-available basis after the second of the month. Rates: Classified advertisements are $5.00 per line for ACRL members, $6.25 for others. Late job notices are $12.00 per line for members, $14.00 for others. Organizations submitting ads will be charged according to their membership status. Telephone: All telephone orders should be confirmed by a writ­ ten order mailed to ACRL headquarters as soon as possible. Orders should be accompanied by a typewritten copy of the ad to be used in proofreading. An additional $10 will be charged for ads taken over the phone (except late job notices or display ads). A full-time position available September 1,1985. Duties: Responsible for the coordination of On­ line Catalogue activities within the Automated Systems unit. These activities include supervising the Library Telephone Center, com­ prising a staff of four FTE; monitoring system operation; serving as liaison to the University Library units for the Online Catalogue; serv­ ing as resource person for disseminating information about the on­ line Catalogue; and assisting in planning activities. Reports to the Au­ tomated Systems Librarian. Qualifications: Required: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited Library School, or its equivalent; at least nine months of professional or pre­ professional library experience; effective communication skills, both oral and written; ability to meet general university requirements for promotion and tenure. Preferred: Experience with online public ac­ cess systems; supervisory experience. Librarians have faculty rank. This appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor. Li­ brarians must meet general University requirements for promotion and tenure.
