Missing M anuscripts T o the Ed itor: Please alert your readers to the following m ateri­ als which have been missing from the library of K e­ ble C ollege, O xford, since before 1964. T h e bulk o f the missing m aterial is the m anu­ script correspondence o f D r. T hom as W ilson (d. 1 7 8 4 ), th e son o f th e fam ous T h o m a s W ilso n , bishop o f Sodor and M an. T h e correspondence is bound in four volumes, three containing letters to W ilson and one o f letters from him . No detailed de­ scription o f the correspondence exists but it con­ tains a large num ber o f letters from the Irish a n ti­ deist author John L eland (1 6 9 1 -1 7 6 6 ). It is possible that the correspondence also contains m aterial of A m erican interest as the Episcopal clergym an W il­ liam D aw son (1 7 0 5 -1 7 5 2 ) received letters from W ilson, who is known from other sources to have been interested in Colonial affairs. None o f the above items are stamped as belonging to Keble C o l­ lege. On the com pletion of the course of study, Fellows will be awarded a Certificate of A dvanced Study. A pplicants will have the MS in Library Science degree or equivalent, and from 3 to 5 years of m anagem ent experience. U p to 8 students may be selected by the faculty who will evaluate a statement of academ ic and profes­ sional objectives, the applicant's record of experi­ ence, and perform ance on the GRE (Graduate Rec­ ord Examination). Up to 5 successful applicants will receive full tui­ tion and a stipend of $8,000. All students admitted to the program will be designated CLR fellows. A pplication deadline April 30, 1983.
