Prior to joining UL in 1997, Rader was director of the university library at Cleveland State University (1987–96); di- rector of the library/learning center at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Keno- sha (1980–87); and held several positions at Eastern Michigan University. She was the 1999 ACRL Academic and Research Librar- ian of the Year. She also received the ACRL Miriam Dudley Award for Bibliographic In- struction and the ACRL/EBSS Distinguished Education and Behavioral Sciences Educa- tion Award (1995). Rader served as ACRL President from 1986 to 1987. A p p o i n t m e n t s Serin Anderson has been appointed collection development and administrative services librarian at the University of Wash- ington Tacoma Library at the University of Washington-Seattle. Maria Bonn, who currently serves as the director of the Scholarly Publishing Offi ce at the University of Michigan Library, has been named associate university librarian for pub- lishing at the University of Michigan. Liorah Golomb has been appointed the humanities librarian at the University of Oklahoma Libraries. Sean Heyliger is now university archivist at the University of Texas-San Antonio. Heather Lambert has been appointed user services librarian/emerging technology at the James E. Walker Library of Middle Ten- nessee State University. Juli McLoone is now special collec- tion librarian at the University of Texas-San Antonio. Cynthia Tobar has been appointed meta- data librarian for the Mina Rees Library at the City University of New York Graduate Center. R e t i r e m e n t s Hannelore B. Rader, dean of libraries at the University of Louisville (UL), has retired. Rader has 41 years of library, administrative, and teaching experience in higher education.
