Prior to this, Riley served as director of technical and access services at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (2004–2007), library director at Saint Louis Community College-Meramec (1996–2004), and collection development librarian at Maryville University (1988–1996). She has been a member of ACRL for 17 total years, beginning in 1986. During her membership with ACRL, she has served on the ACRL Board of Directors as Director-at- Large (2009–2013), the ACRL Membership Committee (2004–2006), the ACRL Chapter’s Council (2003–2005), and the ACRL Library Advocacy Institute as Regional Advocacy Trainer (2003–2005). She has also held roles in ACRL sections, including the Dis- tance Learning Section as member-at-large (2001–2003) and Membership Committee chair (2004–2006), and in the Community and Junior College Library Section as secretary (1999–2001) and Resources Review Commit- tee chair (1996–1999). Riley’s ALA activities include serving on the ALA Committee on Organization (2005–2007), and being a member of the Intellectual Freedom Round Table. She has also been a member of the Library Leadership and Management Association, having served in the Library Organization and Management Section (2007–2009) and the Systems and Services Section (2007–2009), as well as a member of the Association for Library Col- lections and Technical Services (1980–1986, 1989–2007) and the Library Information Technology Association (1999–2002). She has also been honored with participation in Leadership Chesterfield (2001), LEADERS 1999, National Institute of Leadership Development, and Beta Phi Mu. Rickey D. Best is collection development librarian at Auburn University-Montgomery (AUM), a position he has held since 2010. Prior to this, Best served in a number of posi- tions at AUM, including dean (1997–2010), head of technical services (1996–1997), and archivist/special collections librarian (1986–1997). He has been a member of ACRL since 1988, during which time his activities have included serving as a member of the ACRL Govern- ment Relations Committee (2005–2010), the ACRL Standards and Accreditation Committee (2010–2012), the ACRL Leadership Recruit- ment and Nominating Committee (2010– 2011), the ACRL Standards and Accreditation Committee (2010–2012), and the ACRL Excel- lence in Academic Libraries Awards Commit- tee (2012–2013). Best has been a member of ALA since 1986, during which time he has served as a member of the ALA Chapter Relations Council (2011–2012).
