If, however, as some politicians argue, the governmental dissolution of Aum Shinrikyo should be accomplished by whatever means necessary, including the application of the Subversive Activities Control Law3 or, as other politicians suggest, the amendment of the Religious Corporation Law of 1951' to strengthen governmental control of religious organizations, constitutional controversies about Article 20 of the Constitution of Japan, which guarantees religious freedom,5 would become unavoidable.	cache/cjal-3154.pdf	txt/cjal-3154.txt
