Jaume Vallverdu.

Director of the Sculpture Department at the University of Barcelona, he has been 

teaching Fine Arts since 1985. 

He won the city of Martorrell ( Barcelona)first prize for sculpture.  

He has had important solo exhibitions in Barcelona, Vitoria in Spain and Andorra.

Un bloc de memòria 

 

Women represent the myth of creation, life and the permanence of the human being.   

The stone sculpture "Un bloc de memòria” represents femininity transferred into the 

interior of earth through the material employed. Thus, memory, myth and history 

become a work of art.
