The aim of this article is to identify the factors that led to this civil confrontation and the conditions under which an initially small leftist party, the CPN-Maoist, won the leadership of the popular layers, emerged as the hegemonic rival to the autocratic royal power and modified the balance of forces, contributing to the abolition of the monarchy and the transformation of Nepal into a secular state.	cache/clogic-190926.pdf	txt/clogic-190926.txt
