CURRICULUM FIELD’S SENSE OF THE PAST William Wraga University of Georgia Abstract Contrary to claims by curriculum historians that the historical field of curriculum development in the US was ahistorical, this analysis of curriculum writings from the period 1918 to 1964 found that, from the beginning, the US field of curriculum development manifested a persistent historical perspective.
