Launched in 2009, as a platform for interdisciplinary scholarship on the shifting terrain of EDMCs worldwide, Dancecult houses research exploring the sites, technologies, sounds and cultures of electronic music in historical and contemporary perspectives. Playing host to studies of emergent forms of electronic music production, performance, distribution, and reception, as a portal for cutting-edge research on the relation between bodies, technologies, and cyberspace, as a medium through which the cultural politics of dance is critically investigated, and as a venue for innovative multimedia projects, Dancecult is the leading venue for research on EDMC. The event was completely online and featured two days of jam packed sessions representing the broad interdisciplinary scope of the Dancecult Research Network. All presentations have been uploaded to YouTube and can be viewed at Dancecult’s YouTube page. We thank everyone for participating in this successful event, and look forward to seeing you next time, when we hope to meet in person. There has been personnel changes at the journal. Incoming, I am delighted to welcome Moses Iten to the Dancecult Editorial Board as our new Foreign Languages Editor (and also joining us in the capacity of Associate Editor, assisting From the Floor editing). As FLE, Moses steps in to a role formerly held by Luis Manuel-Garcia, our inaugural FLE who recently stepped down. Luis contributed quality content since 2013, when he initiated the Transpositions section. We appreciate the effort from Luis over many years to establish Transpositions as a venue for quality translations in the field of EDMC studies. Thanks to Luis, an excellent platform was established. Another long serving DEB member recently stepping down due to other commitments is Alice O’Grady. A big shout out to Alice for her role as From the Floor Section Editor for many years. Alice performed a great service to the research community in this capacity. Additionally, coming into the team are Benjamin Assiter as Associate Editor, who has begun working with Managing Editor, Tommy Symmes, and Patricio López-Serrano, our new Production Assistant. I am happy to report here that we are in the second year of our new arrangement with Maynooth University, which is covering our annual Open Journals Systems expense, for which we are extremely grateful (thank you Alistair Fraser). I am also happy to report that Dancecult, as of 2020, is indexed with Scopus (and we have made application to be backfilled to 2009). On to the issue itself. The 2021 issue has arrived a month later than usual due to Covid related delays (we plan to be back on schedule in 2022). This year we have a mammoth open issue including seven Feature Articles, a Transposition, five From the Floor pieces, and four Reviews. Thanks to all authors, and peer reviewers, and special shout outs to our complete copyediting and production operation. Despite the many challenges, we have brought another one to the mat! We have another open issue coming up in November 2022. We welcome submissions for all article categories. For Feature Articles, please submit by March 2022.
