Usually the fibrous epulis has the same color as the oral mucosa which is light pink, firm on palpation, and has a fibrous texture although sometimes hard if bone is present within the lesion.1,3 The majority of inflammatory reactive hyperplasias occur on the surface of the oral mucous membrane where irritants are quite common.4 Fibrous epulis in adults occurs due to chronic irritation or trauma, due to factors such as dentures, a carious tooth, faulty restorations, and 173Sumarta and Kamadjaja: Fibrous epulis associated subgingival calculus.5,6 Removal of any irritating factors and excision is the usual treatment.	cache/mkg-937.pdf	txt/mkg-937.txt
