EDITORIAL

This is the first refereed issue of EDUCATION LIBRARIES, with two interesting 
contributions from Education Librarians who have either used an unusual method to select 
items for their collection, or who have succeded in salvaging a collection that was on the 
verge of disappearing. 

Your attention is drawn to the newly constituted Editorial Board, which consists of 
Judy Lindley and Charles Missar, two past presidents of the Education Division, who have 
graciously consented to help with the selection and editing of articles for the journal. Both 
have been heavily involved in the activities of the journal and bring many years of 
experience in the education field to this new task. 

In addition to the Editorial Board, the following members of the Education Division 
have volunteered their services to be called upon as referees: Pauline M. Rothstein, Lillian 
M.Rider, and Catherine M. have agreed to help with general articles and Hope Tillman 
with technical ones. It is hoped that more referees will join the group that has volunteered 
so far. 

In this new format, Education Libraries will continue to serve a double purpose: 
provide a forum for new and challenging ideas in the education field to be presented in a 
scholarly fashion, and to review new and forthcoming publications of interest to the 
profession. 

The H. W. Wilson Company has accepted Education Libraries for indexing in 
Library Literature. Indexing will commence with the first issue of 1993.
