N A T H A N I E L CAM P6ELL 
is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, with a double major in Classics and German. He is studying 

abroad this semester at the Catholic University in Eichstatt, Germany. His academic interests include 

Classical Latin and Greek literature and Mediaeval Latin and German literature. In his free time he enjoys 

listening to Baroque music and reading, especially the works of J.K. Rowling. He would like to thank 

Dr. Meredith Monaghan for her help with the philosophy of Lucretius. 

is a junior English and philosophy major in the College of Arts and Sciences, as well as a resident of 

Oxford, Connecticut. She is on the editorial board for Stylus, Boston College's Art and Literature Magazine, 

Elements, the Undergraduate Research Journal, and Epicenters, the in-the-works online Professional Arts 

Journal, and is also a research assistant in the English department. This issue's "Quixote" paper was originally 

submitted as an assignment for one of the best classes of all, Prof. Mark O'Connor's Honors Seminar..

is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in History and Philosophy with a minor in Asian 

Studies. He hopes to attend law school and continue to explore his interest in modern Japanese history and 

language after graduation. He is a member of the Order of the Cross and Crown as well as the Boston College 

Marching Band. 

M E R EDIT H H U D S O N 
is a senior majoring in Political Science and Sociology with a Spanish minor from Waco, TX. While at BC, 

Meredith has been active in several social justice programs such as 4Boston, the School of the Americas 

Watch and a Pedro Arrupe immersion trip to Chiapas, Mexico. As aresult of her interst in feminist issues, 

she is currently serving as a Teaching Assistant in Introduction to Feminism. After college she plans to go 

to Estes Park, CO, to teach Outdoor Environmental Education at the YMCA of the Rockies, and eventually she 

plans to attend law school. Her interests include traveling, hiking, skiing, going to concerts, rock climbing, 

back-packing, and working with children.

is is a sophomore majoring in Biology and currently is in Pre-dental program. Jeong Ho Nam conducted 

his research in Neuroscience Lab in SUNY Old Westbury after studying under George B. Stefano, Patrick 

Cadet and Kirk Mantione for three years. He wants to thank them for giving h i m a great opportunity and 

thank his parents for support. 

is a sophomore at Boston College. She hails from Tampa, FL- from beaches to Beantown. Emily majors in 

Art History with a Middle Eastern Studies minor. She works as an intern at the McMullen Museum of Art 

and plans to study abroad next year in Cairo.

is a senior studying Philosophy and Spanish in the Pre-Medical program. Her introductory research thesis 

about the environmental, social, and cultural factors affecting malaria is an intersection of her academic 

interests. Currently, she hopes to get a degree in Public Health studying infectious disease epidemiology 
and then eventually obtain a medical degree. In addition to her appreciation towards the McNair program 

and her family, Emily would like to thank her mentor Mohammed Shahabuddin in the Biology Department 

at Boston College and Andrew Spielman at the Harvard School of Public Health. 

is a senior at Boston College with an Art History Major and minors in Fine Art and Hispanic Studies. Over 

the past two years she has spent time abroad in Rome, Madrid, Hong Kong, Taipei and South China. She 

hopes to pursue a career as a professor, writer and artist in the US and overseas.

is a senior English major from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He spent the fall of 2 0 0 4 at Rhodes University in 

Grahamstown, South Africa, and is currently writing an honors thesis on the work of South African 

playwrights Athol Fugard, John Kani and Winston Ntshona.
