It was found that 2 mL of 0.125% PCA, 3.0 mL of 0.2% DDQ and 1.0 mL of 0.2% TCNE solutions were sufficient for the production of maximum and reproducible color intensity and the highest absorbance remained unaffected by further addition of these reagents (Figure 5).
