As shown in Table 2, the increase of the absorbance in the UV‐range for sample of the modified PVC compared with unmodified PVC can be explained by the formation of conjugation double bonds (band corresponding to π → π* transitions) in the modified polymer resulting from introducing aromatic ring thus, the shifting in the absorbance to longer wavelengths (i.e. the bathochromic effect) is a good evidence that modification.	cache/eurjchem-1100.pdf	txt/eurjchem-1100.txt
