The Journal, which is devoted to original research in the fields of pure and applied mathematics and their teaching and learning, may also be considered as an umbrella outlet for mathematics and related interdisciplinary mathematical research. EJPAM publishes high quality researches in the fields of contemporary pure and applied mathematics with a broad range of topics including algebra, topology, functional analysis, operational research, theoretical statistics, computer science, mathematical finance, psychology and biosciences. The Editorial Board of this electronic journal holds high vision that we can meet an underserved, yet essential, segment of contemporary research. The organization chart of the Editorial Board distinguishing the Journal among the other high quality mathematics journals is the employing the area editorship structuring for the editorial process. We would like to thank all Advisory Editors, Area Editors, Associate Editors, Production Editors, reviewers and authors. Math. 1 (2008), (1-3) 2 Messages of Greetings from Some of our Advisory Editors The world expert on creativity, Edward de Bono has frequently advocated that because mathematics works with strict rules inside the box, it is not a creative subject. I have to disagree with de Bono on this observation. By going back and forth between theory and applications, mathematics has created a giant monolithic instrument, more beautiful and powerful than any other, for all the sciences to think with and to use. Our brains work with mathematics even when we create. All ideas are the result of systematic firings of neurons and syntheses of their electrical signals. Biologically, we are all mathematicians even if we are unable to articulate successfully what goes on inside our brains. By organizing and inviting relevant contributions, the European Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics can well be used to tell a story that has never been told as well before about mathematics. I want to congratulate the editorial team on the enterprise of publishing a new journal. They have chosen a broad and demanding task: to harmoniously bring pure and applied mathematics together in one publication. Pure mathematics often criticized as more of an academic exercise with little use to society on the one hand and on the other, applied mathematics, often celebrated as the spearhead of the applied sciences, contributing to all of them. The debate could not be more controversial. I look forward to seeing how the editors and authors will respond to this challenge and provide the mathematical community with a purposeful and informative publication.
