In the study of Tahmourespour et al.,7 apple extract reduced the number of Streptococcus mutans colonies in saliva by 54.2%, but the decrease in the average number of colonies in the Chlorhexidine group was significantly higher (92.8%) than the apple extract group.7 In the present study, the apple hydro-alcoholic extract alone had no antibacterial effect on Streptococcus mutans and this effect was slightly improved by adding nanoparticles.	cache/bam-11623.pdf	txt/bam-11623.txt
