Maria Victoria Dias is 
a sophomore from 
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 

majoring in human science 
in the NHS and is on the pre-
med track. She is also a writer 
for the Georgetown Journal 
of Helath Sciences. Maria  is 
passionate about research and 
wants to become a surgeon.

Bridgitte Isom

Bridgitte Isom is a !rst-year 
student from Miami, FL 
studying human science 

in the School of Nursing and 
Health Studies. She is on the 
pre-med track and hopes to 
pursue a career in medicine 
or medical research but is also 
exploring bioinformatics and 
bioethics during this time. 

Nicholas Kaliss

Nicholas Kaliss is a 
senior at Georgetown 
University majoring 

in neurobiology and on the 
pre-med track. Outside of 
neurobiology, Nick has enjoyed 
learning about psychology 
through his elective coursework.

Danya Adams is a senior 
in the College majoring 
in neurobiology and 

minoring in French. Danya 
currently researches synaptic 
plasticity in Dr. Haiyan He’s 
lab. A"er graduating, she 
hopes  to continue contributing 
to the research !eld.

in Jewish Civilization. Alex 
will be attending Georgetown’s  
School of Medicine as a Sweeney 
Scholar in the Fall of 2021.

Mary Meg Valentine 
graduated from 
Georgetown University 

in 2020 where she majored in 
neurobiology. She received the 
2020 Biology Medal for her RISE 
project, “Ephrin-A Knockout 
Mice Exhibit Varied Behavioral 
Phenotypes Along the Spectrum 
of Developmental Disorder.”

passions lie at the intersections 
of politics, performance, and 
health. Currently, she is also 
interning with the Public 
A#airs Team at the Pan 
American Health Organization 
and policy and advocacy 
team at Together for Girls. 

Ariyand Aminpour

Ariyand Aminpour is a 
senior at Georgetown 
University, majoring 

in biology of global health and 
minoring in science, technology, 
and international a#airs. He   
works as an Undergraduate 
Research Assistant at 
Georgetown’s Center for Global 
Health Science and Security. His 
professional, academic interests 
include global health, infectious 
disease, and health policy.  

Victoria Boatwright

Victoria Boatwright is a 
junior in Georgetown 
College studying 

biological physics with a minor 
in science, technology, and 
international a#airs. She works 
in the Fox-Kemper lab at Brown 
University studying physical 
oceanography. Boatwright 
intends to pursue graduate 
studies in oceanography 
or other  earth sciences.

Mehwish Rafique

Mehwish Ra!que is a 
recent graduate of 
Georgetown from the 

Systems Medical Program.  She 
also graduated from Virginia 
Commonwealth University 
with a bachelor’s  degree in 
human resources management. 
Mehwish has a  strong interest 
in research and oncology. 

Makenzie Thomas

Makenzie $omas is 
a freshman human 
science major. She has 

ambitions of attending medical 
school and pursuing a career in 
pediatric neurology. Her interests 
include mental health advocacy, 
neuroscience, pediatrics, and 
developmental disorders. At 
Georgetown, Makenzie is 
involved in GIVES, Active 
Minds, and the swimming team.

Brady Stallman

Brady Stallman is a !rst-
year human science 
major in the NHS. He is 

from Scranton, Pennsylvania. 
His scienti!c interests include 
overall anatomy and current 
research on the brain and 
musculoskeletal system. He plans 
to attend medical school a"er 
he% graduates from Georgetown.

Kathryn Meadows

Kathryn Meadows is a 
human science major in 
the NHS Class of 2024. 

She is from Long Island, New 
York. In the future, Kathryn 
hopes to attend medical school 
and eventually practice medicine 
in the !eld of pediatric neurology.
