About the Authors Fenn Sutter Fenn Suter is an undergraduate student (’24) in the College of Arts and Sciences, double majoring in Neurobiology and Mathematics. He is interested in the applications of statistics in the study of neuroscience and the broader medical field. He is on the Lightweight Rowing team and hopes to pursue a career in medicine. Ruoxian Huang Ruoxian (Susan) Huang is sophomore at Georgetown University’s School of Health, majoring in Human Science. She is passionate about research in neuroscience disorders and plans to pursue a career in the medical field. Abigail Bettendorf Abigail Bettendorf is a member of the Class of 2026 majoring in Healthcare Management and Policy on the pre-medical track. She is passionate about improving health outcomes in rural areas, such as in her home state of Minnesota, and plans to pursue a career in the medical field. Anna Hampton Anna Hampton is a senior at Georgetown University majoring in Neurobiology with a minor in Disability Studies. She intends on pursuing a career in the medical field to continue exploring how our experiences shape our health and well-being. Daniel Staas Daniel Staas is a member of the Class of 2024 majoring in Neurobiology and minoring in Music on the pre-med track. He is interested in researching the molecular complexities of mental illness and how these ideas can be exploited to create new, effective treatments. Tony Joseph Tony Joseph is a sophomore in the Brooklyn College BA/MD Combined Medical Program with SUNY Downstate Medical School, majoring in psychology. He is interested in genetics research and the intersection of medicine and psychology to improve disease prevention and treatment. He plans to pursue a career in the medical field. 51 About the Authors Francesca Monaco Francesca Monaco is a sophomore in the School of Health at Georgetown University, majoring in Human Science on the pre-medical track. She is passionate about destigmatizing mental health and increasing mental health resources for young adults. Kush Modi Kush Modi is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences at Georgetown University, majoring in Neurobiology and minoring in Public Health and Economics. He is interested in cancer and dementia research at the moment and plans to pursue medical school after he graduates. Kelsey Lyons Kelsey Lyons is a senior in the School of Health studying Health Care Management and Policy. She is passionate about contributing to a more equitable and innovative healthcare system and intends to pursue a career focusing on the intersection of medicine and health policy. Kylie Burns Kylie Burns is a senior majoring in Neurobiology and minoring in French. At Georgetown, she is involved in GU Signs, and she is interested in the connections between language and the brain. After graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in the medical field. Marcus Magsayo Marcus Magsayo is a senior in the School of Health majoring in Health Care Management & Policy on the pre- medical track. Affiliated with a wide variety of clubs such as Club Filipino, Ritmo y Sabor, and Alpha Phi Omega, he is passionate for cultural diversity and service. He hopes to integrate the importance of diverse experiences and health equity research as he ventures into the medical field. Shelby Geiger Shelby Geiger is in the Class of 2025 at Georgetown University’s College of Arts & Sciences, majoring in Psychology. She hopes to continue to study mental health and psychological disorders and intends to pursue a career in medicine. 52 About the Authors Anna Douglas Anna is a senior studying Neurobiology and Fine Art at Georgetown University. She hopes to attend medical school where she can continue pursuing her interest in researching psychiatric disorders and their treatments with a translational lens.
