About the Authors Carrigan Rice Carrigan Rice is a senior at Georgetown University's School of Health, majoring in Global Health. She hopes to continue to apply her public health background in future endeavors and aspires towards a career in medicine. Tharun Potluri Tharun Potluri is a junior undergraduate student in Georgetown University's School of Health, majoring in Human Science and minoring in Disability Studies. He is currently a research assistant in the Fire!ghters’ Burn and Surgical Research Lab where he is interested in studying burn wound pathophysiology, speci!cally post- burn epidermal dyspigmentation and the dysregulation of pigment cell function as a result of so" tissue trauma. Having been accepted into Georgetown’s Early Assurance Program, #arun will be matriculating into Georgetown’s School of Medicine upon his graduation in 2025. Kush Modi Kush Modi is a junior in Georgetown University’s College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Neurobiology and minoring in Economics and Public Health.
